The coincidence of a full moon and a king tide flowing into the bay made for a magical nighttime tour of the SF Bay. After dropping off the kayaks and gear at Chrissy Field and dropping the cars off at Pier 52, we launched as the sun went down and the moon came up.

In addition to the king tide that would push us most of the way, the bay was smoother than I've ever seen it.

We floated past Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, the Ferry Building and under the Bay Bridge. Floating under the bridge was magical. The moon and the bridge lights were a great combination.
